There is a place for everyone

Unconditional love.  God accepts us as we are.  There are no hoops to jump through or rules to follow.  The question for us is: How will we respond?

Worship offers a time and place to consider this. We are invited to think, feel, and explore our relationships with God and each other and what that means as we go out into the world.

Sunday Worship

10:00 a.m. on a Sunday

Worship at St. Stephen reflects the values of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Canada, combining old and new traditions alike. Music is usually accompanied by organ or piano. The choir invites participation of anyone who enjoys singing, and the bell choir gives a marvelous opportunity to make beautiful music to supplement festival days.

There is a bell for you if you would like to give it a try.
Once a month, usually the third Sunday, our band, The Rocks, brings a different life to traditional music and uses music that you would expect to hear on the radio to look at the experience of living deeply.

After Worship on a Sunday

All are welcome to connect over a cup of coffee or tea after the service. It’s a great time to catch up with friends or make new ones and talk about our experiences in everyday life.  Every third Sunday of the month join us for a Birthday Celebration after worship.

Children’s worship

Most Sundays we have Sunday school during worship, with crafts and stories in the classrooms. If your child wants to stay in worship with you, they are welcome there as well. You can sit in the pews or in the family area with the rocking chairs and quiet activity area. Either way, we have bags of activities for the children, including a small snack.
