Worship and Music

"There is a place for everyone"

sanctuary

Unconditional love.  God accepts us as we are.  There are no hoops to jump through or rules to follow.

The question for us is: How will we respond?

Worship offers a time and place to consider this. We are invited to think, to feel, and to explore our relationships with God and each other and what that means as we go out into the world.

8:00 a.m. on a Sunday

Early worship provides an opportunity to hear the Word, unaccompanied and in its most simple form, followed by prayers and Holy Communion. The service itself runs about a half an hour.

10:00 a.m. on a Sunday

Worship at St. Stephen reflects the values of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Canada combining old and new traditions alike.  All are welcome to come and worship.  We have a nursery for little ones and an activity program for the children.  Music is usually accompanied by organ or piano.  The choir invites participation of anyone who enjoys singing, and the bell choir gives a marvelous opportunity to make beautiful music to supplement festival days.  There's a bell for you if you would like to give them a try.

Once a month, usually the third Sunday, our band "The Rocks" brings a different life to traditional music, and also uses music that you would expect to hear on the radio to take a look at the experience of living deeply.

After Worship on a Sunday

All are welcome to connect over a cup of coffee.
